10 Most Popular Posts of 2013
The year 2013 has been such an incredible year as a newbie blogger. I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days doing what I love and sharing that passion with others. As this amazing year comes to an end, I've spent some time digging in the archives to see which projects were the 10 Most Popular Posts of 2013.
Some came as a total surprise because they were projects I debated whether or not to post them. Others I was pleased to see made the cut because I am especially proud of the results. Sometimes it's the least likely posts that gain the most interest and that is always a pleasant surprise.
This is a personal favorite because the dresser was my parent's first dresser when they married in the late 50s. We needed a small desk and a dresser with just a couple of drawers for our guest room and so we created the best of both worlds by repurposing the 4-drawer dresser to accommodate both.
This handy magnetic bulletin board was so easy to make and is such a welcomed addition to my home office. Its large size holds everything from blog post idea lists, inspiration photos, to-do lists, and more.
This post is an amalgamation of many DIY projects here on the blog made for the holidays.
Turning ordinary glass into a mirror was such fun. You could watch the magic happen before your very eyes.
If you've never seen the inside of an antique chair, then you'll love this post. This poor chair was gutted and repaired from the springs up and was the most featured post in 2013.
This table makeover is a perfect example of the difference between spray painted furniture and chalk painted furniture. I went into the zone on this makeover with a handpainted French graphic as well.
Cans of refried beans came to the rescue for this one! The pallet wood holiday centerpiece is not difficult to make. If you have an artificial tree, you can get the wonderful pine scent of a real tree by filling it with fresh evergreens. The possibilities for decorating this wood centerpiece are endless.
Our DIY headboard has so much farmhouse charm and it was made from a salvaged solid core door.
This cute little garden bench is made from a twin captains bed from the 60s that was in my home growing up.
Our little water feature blew me away with its popularity! The idea to make it came while enjoying my morning coffee on the deck. It took me a bit to figure it out how to turn our old flower pots into a water fountain but once I did, it came together quickly.
I can't wait to get back into the workshop in January to start a fresh new year with so many creative possibilities. Thrift stores, here I come!
I want to thank each and every one of you for visiting my new corner of the blogosphere. I so appreciate the support and encouragement you have shown me throughout the year. Your sweet comments and emails have been just the encouragement and inspiration I need to keep going in 2014.
